As for the workmanship of Schwartz, we can divide the text in two parts, the first one where the author brings to tona the works on the slavery up to 1988, and the second where it exactly approaches publications on this subject after 1988 – where author identifies one to it decrssimo of productions. According to Schwartz, even so the 13 of May have been the last act that abolished the slavery, what it came later did not mean improvement for the condition of life of the slaves, and in this direction, the author traces a way, a dialogue with diverse classic theoreticians and contemporaries, as Gilbert Freyre (1933), Jacob Gorender (1983), Ciro Cardoso (1979), Florentine Manolo (1997), among others, tracing a debate on the conditions of life in the familiar devices, bows, as well as the amplitude of the system escravocrata and the search of the slave – exactly in a turbulent and favorable context – of affirmation construction of its identity. The work of these authors above boarded – that it is not limited only to the workmanships worked here – it makes in to identify them the existence of certain gaps in the Brazilian historiografia, as for the process of slavery, and mainly on the formation of the enslaved family, where in the texts if it observes some divergences and agreement between the authors. We can find a vast bibliography in these workmanships, approaching theories of authors as Gilbert Freyre – mentioned and argued for the three authors – where stimulates the studies on questions that had been in the historiografia omitted to guarantee the supremacy of a people on another one and in it offers a cast to them of information who exceed the traditional approaches on the history of the slavery in Brazil, placing in evidence the necessity of this history to be seen and magazine, through new looks and new perspectives.
